Body Wash/Shampoo Making

Melt and pour soap bases - 1.2 to 1.5% of the weight of the soap base. For example, if you are melting 1 kg of soap base, add 12 to 15 gms of fragrance oils.

Cold Process Soaps: Add 3% of the weight of the oils. Tip: To anchor fragrances in CP soap, you can mix your fragrance with cosmetic clay, like kaolin clay. The clay protects the fragrance and allows more of the scent to survive in saponification process.

Scented candles - You can use 10-15 gms of fragrance oil for 250 grams of candle wax flakes to obtain perfect smelling scented candles. Make sure you measure your quantities correctly so that the fragrance doesn't get overpowered.

Shampoos/body wash/face-wash/lotion - 10 to 12 gm for 1 litre of the liquid.

Make sure you measure the fragrance oil using correct measuring cups to get optimum output. Do not add by feel or using dropper. A correct measurement is very important to get a perfectly smelling product.
